From October 16 to 26
Opening reception at Riad ALIF, gallery space of the American Language Center in Fez.
Since the dawn of human history, architecture has played a crucial role in the formation of civilizations. From the Pyramids of Giza to the Statue of Liberty in New York, the architect's mind has always been a fascinating world of creativity and innovation, seeking to create a universe that only exists in the imagination. As Franz Kafka said, “By believing passionately in something that does not yet exist, we create it.” » This exhibition is an opportunity to explore creative processes in architecture and the forces that drive them, offering insight into the imaginative minds that drive architectural innovation. It will highlight works, drawings, collages, installations and paintings created by first and second year students in architecture and design at Euromed University. The public is invited to immerse themselves in the world of imagination and architectural creation.
The exhibition will showcase students' artistic and creative projects, facilitating cultural exchanges between different communities, the local university, the creative community and the general public. It aims to provide a platform for interaction with the importance of the architect and the creative process.
This event also highlights the essential encounter between creativity, art, cultural heritage and architecture. By celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Fez and the innovative spirit of its young architects, the exhibition seeks to encourage a deeper understanding of how creative initiatives in architecture contribute to cultural preservation and innovation. Fez, a city recognized for its unique architectural heritage and icon of architecture in Morocco, offers an inspiring and exceptional setting for this exhibition. As an Arabic proverb says, “العمارة أداة للفن والثقافة” (“Architecture is a tool for art and culture”), this exhibition highlights the deep connection between architecture and cultural identity.
