[EIT] Seminar on the “Cement Manufacturing Process”

As part of the seminars organized by the Euromed University of Fez, civil engineering students from the Euromed Institute of Technolog attended a seminar on the cement manufacturing process, presented by Mr. Aziz NHIR, Director General of the CIMEX company and expert in cement and concrete (Materials and Processes).
The seminar began with the introduction of a brief history of concretes as well as their physicochemical and functional specificities. Then, particular attention was paid to the manufacture of cement, to the materials and process aspects as well as to the major transformations which ensure the physico-chemical quality and mechanical strength of cements and concretes in use. The sustainability aspect as well as environmental requirements also constituted an important part of the presentation and discussions.
