[EIT] Seminar on the "Cement Manufacturing Process"

As part of the seminars organized by the Université Euromed de Fès, civil engineering students from the Euromed Institute of Technology attended a seminar on the cement manufacturing process, presented by Mr. Aziz NHIR, General Manager of the company CIMEX and an expert in cements and concretes (Materials and Processes).

The seminar began with an introduction to a brief history of concretes as well as their physico-chemical and functional specificities. Then, particular attention was paid to the manufacturing of cement, to the material and process aspects, as well as to the major transformations that ensure the physico-chemical quality and mechanical performance of cements and concretes in use. The aspect of durability as well as environmental requirements also formed an important part of the presentation and discussions.
