United Nations Peacekeeping Operations at the Heart of Discussions at Euromed University of Fes

As part of the activities of the Euromed Institute of Legal and Political Sciences (ISJP), an exceptional conference was organized on the theme: "United Nations Peace Operations: Management, Challenges, and Perspectives". Led by a Senior Officer of the Royal Armed Forces, a recognized expert in peacekeeping operations, this event provided our Bachelor's and Master's students with a valuable immersion into field realities and contemporary geopolitical issues.

Drawing on his experience at United Nations headquarters in New York and Geneva, as well as his numerous participations in peace missions in Africa and the Middle East, our speaker skillfully conveyed, with clarity and a pedagogical approach, an in-depth analysis of the management mechanisms of peace operations, the current challenges they face, and their prospects for evolution in a constantly changing world.

The conference sparked keen interest among the students, who were able to freely exchange with our guest and deepen their understanding of the diplomatic and strategic workings of the UN in an increasingly conflictual international context. An initiative that fully aligns with the mission of the IESJP to promote openness, dialogue, and critical analysis around major international questions.
