The Euromed University of Fes hosted the African Futures Institute, an initiative founded in 2021 in Accra by Professor Lesley Lokko OBE, which proposes a new model of architectural education blending training, research, and public events.

This meeting took place at the eco-campus, on the occasion of the inaugural establishment of the Nomadic African Studio in Fes, the result of an innovative partnership between UEMF and AFI, led by Professors Aziza Chaouni and Alex Toshkov.

Located in the heart of the Fes medina, within the Riad Lalla Yeddouna made available to the University, this nomadic studio offers participants a unique setting to foster creative reflections in resonance with the history and culture of the place. It is part of a transnational dynamic, bringing together an expanded cohort of international critics.

This event enabled rich exchanges between the studio teams and the university community, opening new perspectives for education and innovation in Africa.
