Euromed University of Fes (UEMF) and NOVA University Lisbon have signed a strategic collaboration agreement, a significant action to develop student mobility opportunities, research projects, and intercultural exchanges.

This agreement thus marks an important step in strengthening academic and scientific relations between Africa and Europe. NOVA University Lisbon, ranked among the top 8 European universities in the QS Top 50 Under 50 ranking, shares a common vision with UEMF: placing research, innovation, and civic engagement at the heart of its actions.

Mr. João Sàágua, Rector of NOVA University Lisbon, emphasized the strategic importance of this collaboration, noting that NOVA, rooted in European culture and Iberian identity, prioritizes relations with three major geographical areas: Europe, the Mediterranean, and the South Atlantic. These regions represent major axes for innovative and sustainable academic cooperation. For its part, UEMF, a leading Euro-Mediterranean university, is distinguished by its role as a bridge between continents and its leadership in high-impact projects in the fields of education, research, and innovation in the region.

During this visit, the NOVA delegation was able to discover UEMF's modern infrastructure, a testament to its academic and scientific ambition. The guests visited the research and innovation platforms, notably the 3D printing platform, the largest on a university campus in Africa. They also explored the university's sports complex, which includes a FIFA-approved football field and an Olympic swimming pool, positioning UEMF as a key player in promoting well-being and sporting excellence.
