RIEMAS is a platform for exchange, reflection, and proposals dedicated to the strategic challenges of the Euro-Mediterranean and African region.

Established in November 2019, the Research Institute for European, Mediterranean, and African Studies (RIEMAS) is the think tank of the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez (UEMF). RIEMAS serves as a platform for exchange, reflection, and proposals dedicated to the strategic issues of the Euro-Mediterranean and African region. In this sense, it is fully aligned with the mission of the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez (UEMF) to contribute to the development and strengthening of regional integration by promoting intercultural dialogue, exchange, and academic and cultural partnerships across the Euro-Mediterranean space.
Nourished by the values of the Euro-Med University of Fez (UEMF)—openness, dialogue, tolerance, the promotion of living together, balance, moderation, and intellectual rigor—as well as by collaborations with regional and international partners, the work of the researchers and experts associated with RIEMAS aims to enrich knowledge and debates on Euro-Mediterranean-African regional issues, formulate proposals for public authorities and all actors in regional cooperation, and strengthen the Global South's perspective on regional challenges.
