Figures and values ​​of the alliance of civilizations and cultural diversity

Brief description

At first glance, this axis appears to constitute a field of knowledge and reflection with fairly well-known contours. However, on closer inspection we realize that the themes it covers are diverse and complex. As proof, these questions of capital importance: what does the notion of civilization mean and what values ​​does it have both in political science and in political philosophies? How can we think about the relationship between alliance of civilizations and cultural diversity in light of the upheavals the world is currently experiencing? Under what conditions and through what geopolitical prism is it possible to think today about the problem of the alliance of civilizations? What role should be attributed to cultural diversity in the perspective of redefining interstate relations for the benefit of peace?

In relation to these issues, each of which can constitute a thesis subject, the targeted candidates (holders of a Master's degree) must, on the one hand, have benefited from solid multidisciplinary training in political and legal sciences, and, on the other hand, on the other hand, have a good knowledge (historically and politically) of the issues which have marked the relations between States, and presided over their regrouping, the affirmation of the leadership of some of them and the weakening of others .

Search conditions:

candidates are expected to carry out their research full-time within the structures of EUROMED University.
