The UEMF is one of the first 3 projects selected for the French-speaking Label for responsible innovation

The AUF, with its partners, launched the “French-speaking label for responsible innovation” in 2020. This Label is intended for higher education and research establishments, private or public, members of the AUF throughout the world. Its objective is twofold: to map and promote responsible innovations from French-speaking university establishments around the world, but also to deploy the responsible innovation network to promote synergies between universities, civil society and the socio-economic sector working for the development of a responsible company. Following the launch of a call for applications, 3 projects were selected.

A jury specializing in responsible innovation selected the first 3 projects which obtained the French-speaking Label for Responsible Innovation and which are being deployed in the following French-speaking universities:

- Mahajanga University, Madagascar, project led by Prof. Hery Lisy Tiana Ranarijaona: From sustainable conservation to ecotourism cosmetopoeia and pharmacopoeia in the botanical garden on the Ambondrona university campus.


- Aleksandër Moisiu University of Durrës, Albania, project led by Ms. Oliana Sula: Interdisciplinary capacity building for education in sustainable consumption. 


- Euromed University of Fez, Morocco, project led by Mustapha Bennouna: Sustainable UEMF Program.

The 2020/2021 Laureates will present their projects on December 14, 2021 at 2 p.m. (Paris time) during a debate open to the public on responsible innovation in higher education and research, alongside experts on the subject. , in order to share their results and inspire other French-speaking establishments to initiate or accelerate their transformation with a view to achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.
