The EuroMed University of Fez, in consortium with the Confédération Générale des Entreprises du Maroc Fès-Taza, the company Alten Delivery Center Maroc and the Regional Council of Fez-Meknes, is developing a project for an innovative sustainable industrial zone oriented “industry 4.0” called “Fez Smart Factory” on the University website.

“Fez Smart Factory” is dedicated to smart and sustainable factories. This zone will also include an Industry 4.0-oriented startup accelerator as well as a 4.0 model factory. This project responds to the needs to improve the competitiveness of the Moroccan industrial fabric by developing access to industrial land, strengthening links between the University and the company and promoting the development of Research & Development activities.

This project was selected by the Sustainable Industrial Zones Fund (FONZID) following a call for competition launched jointly by the Millennium Challenge Account Morocco / the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) and the Ministry of Industry and Investment, of Commerce and the Green and Digital Economy, and a subsidy agreement was signed in May 2020.

In line with the requirements of MCA-Morocco / MCC, an Environmental and Social Impact Study (ESIA) according to the standards of the International Finance Corporation is being carried out by the Phenixa office.

As part of the process of carrying out this ESIA, we invite you to participate in a public consultation meeting on July 23, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. which will allow us to present the progress of the project and collect your opinions and observations to integrate them into the ESIA.

For reasons of health measures, this meeting will be held virtually on the ZOOM Pro platform. Also to participate in this meeting, we ask you to please connect to the following link  :
