The world ranking of universities "U-Multirank 2022" has just been unveiled. The Euromed University of Fez (UEMF) stands out as the first Moroccan university in this ranking, the Ibn Tofail University occupies the second position and the Mohamed V University takes the third step of the podium.
U-Multirank is a global ranking based on a multidimensional analysis of higher education institutions around the world. It recognizes quality and the best performance in teaching and learning, research, knowledge transfer, international openness and regional commitment.
The ranking this year concerned universities from 96 countries around the world.
On the continental level, the ranking is dominated by the universities of South Africa, but two Moroccan universities appear in the top 10 of African universities ranked: the Euromed University of Fez (UEMF) in 7th position and the University Ibn Tofail in 8th position.
The year 2022 will have been very prolific for the Euromed University of Fez, since it has distinguished itself in several international rankings such as Times Higher Education, Zairi International Award (first in the ranking of universities from 36 countries), the Prix d Equal Opportunity Award from the Department of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Jobs and Skills in partnership with UN Women and the United States Millennium Challenge Corporation as well as the Green Gown Award for United Nations sustainable development.
