Euromed School of Architecture, Design and Urbanism celebrates Italian Design Day

Specific day

Following a conference on "Community Building Design" on 29 March at the Mohammed VI Museum in Rabat, the Euromed University of Fez welcomes H.E. Armando Barucco, Ambassador of the Republic of Italy, and Prof. Andrea Anastasio, Italian designer and specialist in numerous cultural and architectural projects.

With the aim of making design in all its forms radiate and resonate, the Euromed School of Architecture, Design and Urban Planning has decided to actively engage in this dynamic. These highlights will be proposed in the framework of an exchange between Professor Andrea Anastasio and the students of the Euromed School of Architecture, Design and Urbanism (EMADU) around the theme "Building the contemporary: innovation and tradition in the craft process - the role of art and design in community building".

Convinced that design is a powerful means of understanding reality and its complexities, Prof. Andrea Anastasio will orient his intervention towards themes and issues that are at the heart of his research work, such as the links between design and mortality, design and desire, impermanence, vulnerability, gender, cultural identity...Thanks to this meeting, the architecture and design students will be able to raise a number of questions through the prism of design, but also to question design in its practice and its methods.
