"Fez Smart Factory" is organizing in partnership with UNIDO, on May 10, 2022 at the Campus of the Euromed University of Fez (UEMF), a meeting under the theme "What role of Fez Smart Factory (FSF) in the development of Industry 4.0 in Morocco?", dedicated to the promotion of the FSF project among industrialists, as well as the presentation of the results of the survey carried out by the project among industrialists to identify their needs in terms of improving the performance of their industrial units through the Industry 4.0 process

The FSF project of sustainable innovation oriented "Industry 4.0" is developed by UEMF in partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Regional Council of Fez-Meknes, the Digital Development Agency (ADD), the Fez-Meknes branch of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and the company Alten Delivery Center Morocco.

Ultimately, the FSF project is expected to generate more than DH 5 billion in investments and more than 5,000 highly qualified direct jobs, relying on the skills of the UEMF, its state-of-the-art platforms (the largest 3D printing platform in the country and the first School of Digital Engineering and Artificial Intelligence in Africa) and its laboratories specialising in the various industrial and energy sectors.

With a budget of around 30 million dollars, FONZID aims to strengthen the model of sustainable industrial zones and to contribute to the improvement of productivity and environmental and social performance of industrial zones. FONZID also aims to increase the supply of industrial land that meets the needs of investors in terms of location, quality of infrastructure, support services and competitive prices, thus contributing to the increase of private investment and job creation.
