Congresses and colloquia
The Euromed University of Fez (UEMF) and its partners, namely the Fez-Meknes Regional Council, the Fez-Taza branch of the
Fez-Taza branch of the General Confederation of Moroccan Businesses (CGEM) and the company Alten Delivery Center-Maroc, presented the "Fez Smart Factory" (FSF) industrial zone project, which will be developed on the UEMF campus.
With an investment of 104 million DH, this industrial zone will be co-financed in large part by the Millennium Challenge Account-Morocco (MCA-Morocco) via a contribution from the Fund for Sustainable Industrial Zones (FONZID) up to nearly 50% of the cost of the project and the Fez-Meknes Region.
The objective of UEMF and its partners is to develop a sustainable industrial zone to meet the needs of improving industrial productivity and environmental and social performance, by taking advantage of the concepts of Industry 4.0.
The FSF project will be composed of spaces dedicated to technology transfer, engineering, innovation and research & development (R&D) and technological research (R&T) services, including an incubator, a startup gas pedal, engineering companies and R&D and R&T entities. The zone will also include Morocco's first Model Factory 4.0 and 93 industrial lots for smart factories.
Covering an area of 11 ha (owned by UEMF), the FSF project will house a building dedicated to innovation services that can accommodate about 40 project developers, 30 startups, 10 engineering companies, 5 R&D and R&T entities and a dozen investors in the business center. Other components of the project include a conference room, an exhibition hall, a restaurant, a medical service, a onestop shop, and a crèche.
