Congresses and colloquia
The Sorbonne School of Law (EDS) is co-organising a colloquium with the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez in Morocco at the end of June, thus celebrating the strengthened cooperation with this institution.
Created in 2012, the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez (UEMF) offers courses in collaboration with various institutions. Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne wished to partner with the institution with the idea of supporting the creation of an institute, EuroMed, dedicated to legal and political sciences.
Within this framework, a double degree agreement in business law has been set up with the EDS. The training takes place over two years and is given at the UEMF campus in Fez. It is open to all lawyers with a law degree and is particularly aimed at students from the Maghreb, sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and Europe. At the end of this course, students hold a double master's degree in Franco-Moroccan business law. More than a theoretical training, it also aims to train students from the region to become jurists and lawyers in international business law. Professionalization and international mobility are therefore two strong points of this course.
Since 2016, the UFR 11 of political science is also part of this cooperation. Indeed, a degree in political science is offered to students with a double supervision, both by the teaching staff of UEMF and UFR 11.
The two universities will celebrate their cooperation, which they wish to see expanded, and will organise a colloquium on the theme: "Moroccan law on restructuring companies in difficulty in the light of French law". In the presence of Mostapha Bousmina, president of the UEMF, the invited French and Moroccan professors will debate these issues.
