[EIT] Seminar on the “Cement Manufacturing Process”

As part of the seminars organized by the Euromed University of Fez, civil engineering students from the Euromed Institute of Technology attended a seminar on the cement manufacturing process, presented by Mr. Aziz NHIR, Director General of the CIMEX company and expert in cement and concrete (Materials and Processes).
The seminar began with the introduction of a brief history of concretes as well as their physicochemical and functional specificities. Then, particular attention was paid to the manufacture of cement, to the materials and process aspects as well as to the major transformations which ensure the physico-chemical quality and mechanical strength of cements and concretes in use. The sustainability aspect as well as environmental requirements also constituted an important part of the presentation and discussions.

[Industry 4.0] the UEMF strengthens its partnerships in this area

A memorandum of understanding between the Euromed University of Fez and the Fez Smart Factory project Consortium, on the one hand, and the Ministry of Industry, Trade and the Green and Digital Economy, and the Agency for Development of Digital, on the other hand, was concluded today, April 5 in Rabat, for the realization of the 4.0 model process, falling within the framework of the Fez Smart Factory project.
A memorandum of understanding between the Euromed University of Fez and the Fez Smart Factory project Consortium, on the one hand, and the Ministry of Industry, Trade and the Green and Digital Economy, and the Agency for Digital Development, on the other hand, was concluded today, April 5 in Rabat, for the realization of the 4.0 model process, falling within the framework of the Fez Smart Factory project.

Taking part in the signing ceremony chaired by the Minister of MICEVN, the President of UEMF, the Director General of ADD, the President of CGEM Fès-Taza, the Director General of Alten Maroc, the Director of FONZID, the UNIDO representative in Rabat, and other representatives of UEMF, ADD, FONZID and the press. 

The French Institute of Fez and the UEMF start the night of debate of ideas

An unmissable intellectual event, the first edition of the nights of the debate of ideas 🌙 which took place at the Euromed University of Fez saw the participation of eminent speakers like Mr. Philippe Blanchet, French linguist, specialist of sociolinguistics and author, Mr. Abderrahman Tenkoul, Dean of the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences at UEMF, Ms. Samia Belhaj, Teacher-Researcher, Faculty of Letters, Fès-Saiss, department of French language and literature and many more others.
This edition co-organized with the French Institutes of Essaouira, Marrakech and Tetouan under the theme “Discrimination: combating glottophobia” was moderated by Fabrice Ribert, Cooperation Attaché for French, French Institute of Morocco / Northern Zone.

[FSF] Call for Tender Project “FEZ SMART FACTORY”

The Euromed University of Fez (UEMF) has concluded a grant agreement with the Millennium Challenge Account-Morocco Agency (MCA-Morocco) within the framework of Compact II financed by the Government of the United States of America, through the The American Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) agency, through the SUSTAINABLE INDUSTRIAL ZONES FUND “FONZID”, for participation in the financing of the “Fez Smart Factory” (FSF) project located in the city of Fez.

The Cancer Research Institute (IRC), in collaboration with the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Métiers (ENSAM) of Rabat, the Euromed University of Fez (UEMF), the Translational Oncology Research Team (EROT ) and the Moroccan Association for Training and Research in Medical Oncology are organizing (AMFROM), on Saturday March 27, 2021, at ENSAM-Rabat, the “First National Day on Artificial Intelligence in Oncology” in hybrid format.

New partnership opportunities between the UEMF and the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM)

The President of the Euromed University of Fez, Prof. Mostapha BOUSMINA, and the Secretary General of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), Mr. Nasser KAMEL, with the presence of His Excellency, Mr. Grammenos MASTROJENI, Secretary Deputy General for Energy and Climate Action at the UfM, held a remote working session aimed at raising all opportunities around partnership projects between the two institutions.
